Maltese rapporteur

The international secretary of the National Youth Council (KNŻ), Nikita Zammit Alamango, was elected rapporteur on counselling in intercultural dialogue during a European youth event held in Marseille by the EU French Presidency.

As part of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008 (EYID), the event featured intercultural dialogue and the "young people's role as agents of intercultural dialogue".

Ms Zammit Alamango was responsible for drawing up one of five reports during the conference. In the report, she proposed that actors should recognise and institutionalise the work of counsellors in intercultural dialogue so that a European network of counsellors is established.
