Obituary

BORG CARBOTT. BEATRICE (Bobby), on July 7, at Charella Residential Home, Sliema, at the age of 97. Left to mourn her loss her daughter Patricia wife of Brian Valenzia, her grandchildren Angelita wife of Daryl Delicata, Roberta and her husband Brian Zarb Adami, her great-grandchildren Hannah, Liam, Samuel and Lisa, other relatives in the UK and friends. Funeral takes place this afternoon at 2.30 p.m. at the Holy Trinity church, Sliema, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Donations sent to Dar tal-Providenza would be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

FIORINI LOWELL. On July 6, MARY, née Moore, aged 97, widow of Richard, passed away peacefully at Casa Antonia, Balzan, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children, Carmen, widow of Maurice Bonello, George and his wife Helen, Alfred and his wife Antoinette, John and his wife Johanna, Hélène, widow of her son Donald, her grandchildren Caroline, Angela, Debbie, Sean, Alison, Suzanne, Peter, Simon, Matthew and Andrew, her great-grandchildren Theresa, Sacha, Rachael, Sarah Anne, Thomas, Louisa, Matthew, Emily and Ben, her twin sister Evelyn Soler, her sister Laura Podestà and her brother Freddie Moore in Canada, her in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Casa Antonia today at 8.15 a.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares and St Patrick's, Sliema, will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the management and staff of Casa Antonia for their loving care and dedication. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

FORMOSA. Tragically, on July 1, in Sicily, after a traffic accident, EMMANUEL (ex-PC445), of Pembroke, aged 68, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Giovanna (Yvonne) née Zammit, his children Lawrence and his wife Janice, Nathalie and her husband Charles Saliba, his grandchildren Daniel, Neil, Rebecca and her husband Raymond and Owen, his brothers, sisters and their respective spouses, nephews, nieces and their respective families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8 a.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Gżira, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GENOVESE. On July 7, at home in Birkirkara, SAVIOUR, aged 84, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his sons Godwin and Adrian, his sisters Lina, wife of Joseph Schembri and Louise, widow of Paul Sammut Alessi, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves his residence today at 2.15 p.m. for St Theresa Sanctuary, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Rose Marie née Bezzina, his children Ignatius, Nella and her husband Kevin Valenzia, Bernard and his wife Anthea, Simon and his wife Stefy, his grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Emma, Edward, Annabel, Nicholas, Philip, David, Kristina and John, his great-grandchild Zac, his brothers Paul, Tony, Edwin, Charles and their respective spouses, his sister Doris Loporto and his sisters in-law Daisy, Antionette, Elenita, Josephine and Carmen. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9 a.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m. followed by interment in the family chapel at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to the Jesuit Missionaries Loyola House, Naxxar will be appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.
