Industrial action at statistics office

The Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin (UĦM) has ordered National Statistics Office (NSO) employees not to carry out, as from today, any work connected with Eurostat, the EU statistics centre.

The union said it ordered the industrial action because the NSO management failed to respond to its proposals over the revision of the collective agreement.

About six months ago, the union said, it had sent its proposals to management but had, to date, not received any feedback.
