Obituary
CAMILLERI. On July 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOE, of Żabbar, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother Bro. Louis Camilleri, FSC, of the De La Salle Brothers, Spiro and his wife Jackie, his sisters Catherine, Tina and her husband Joe Buttigieg, Doris, widow of Maurice Abdilla, Bice and her husband Salvinu Muscat and Marie Thérèse, widow of his brother Reno, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30 p.m. for Our Lady of Graces parish church, Żabbar, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m. followed by interment at St Leone Cemetery, Żurrieq. No flowers by request but donations to charitable institutions will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
CORTIS. On July 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, Violet née Ciantar widow of Toty, of Valletta residing at Sliema, aged 85, passed away peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Vincent and his wife Grace, Joseph and his wife Doreen, Marthese and her husband Edwin Gauci, Catherine and her husband Tony Grech and Stephen, her grandchildren and their spouses, her great-granddaughter, her brothers and sisters among them Fr Gabriel Ciantar OP, their spouses, in-laws and their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for Nazzarenu parish church, Sliema where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord grant her eternal rest.
FIORINI LOWELL. On July 6, MARY née Moore, aged 97, widow of Richard, passed away peacefully at Casa Antonia, Balzan, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children, Carmen widow of Maurice Bonello, George and his wife Helen, Alfred and his wife Antoinette, John and his wife Johanna, Hélène widow of her son Donald, her grandchildren Caroline, Angela, Debbie, Sean, Alison, Suzanne, Peter, Simon, Matthew and Andrew, her great-grandchildren Theresa, Sacha, Rachael, Sarah Anne, Thomas, Louisa, Matthew, Emily and Ben, her twin sister Evelyn Soler, her sister Laura Podestà and her brother Freddie Moore in Canada, her in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Casa Antonia tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares and St Patrick's, Sliema will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the management and staff of Casa Antonia for their loving care and dedication.May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
SALOMONE. On July 5, at St James Capua Hospital, ALBERT W., aged 86, in serenity and dignity, went to meet his Risen Lord. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted family, his daughter Patricia, Dr Pierre Sansone, his daughter Daniela and her husband Dr Itzhak Londner, his grandsons, Dr Luigi and his wife Daniela, Alberto and his fiancée, Dr Cynthia Barbara, his granddaughters, Michal and her husband Ofer Lichtman, Avigail and her husband Lior Zivi and Elinor. Besides other dear relatives and friends, he leaves his last joys, his great-grandchildren Valentina, Matteo, Lavie, Daria and Elroi. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated today, at 9 a.m at L-Ibraġ parish church.

Director appointment
Gemxija Crown Ltd, developers of Xemxija Heights, formerly the Mistra Village, have announced the appointment of Carmen Camilleri Ciantar as sales and marketing director.
Prior to her appointment, Ms Camilleri Ciantar was the marketing executive of Midi plc, developers of Manoel Island and Tignè Point. In this role, she was responsible for corporate public relations at Midi and Tignè Point Marketing Limited. She was involved in the strategic marketing issues covering all the phases contemplated within the master programmes for Tignè Point and was responsible for the development and maintenance of all marketing tools, including websites, brochures, flybys and other publications.
Ms Camilleri Ciantar also worked at the Malta Tourism Authority for four years, rising to the post of manager corporate communications and business development and was also a part-time lecturer at the Malta International Training Centre, the Institute of Tourism Studies and the University of Malta Gozo Centre.
As sales and marketing director with Gemxija Crown, her task is to maximise sales targets, assist sales advisors to achieve sales and assist the sales and marketing consultant in the development of new and existing business.
She is responsible for customer and client services, relationships with local and overseas agents, the site sales office staff and for the development and maintenance of all marketing tools.

Road in Mosta closed
Triq Durumblat in Mosta is closed to traffic because of works being carried out there, the police said yesterday.
Other works are being done at Triq il-Fortizza also in Mosta along the stretch from the bridge leading to It-Telgħa t'Alla w Ommu, so drivers are advised to proceed with caution.
