Former 'therapy dogs' need new homes
Three lovable dogs are desperately seeking new homes, as they have become homeless through no fault of their own.
They all came originally from Gozo SPCA and have since spent two happy years together as PAT (Pets As Therapy) dogs at a drug rehabilitation centre in Gozo.
While there Sancho, Ben and Snoopy were loved and spoiled by everyone.
Unfortunately the centre recently unexpectedly closed down, leaving the dogs homeless and Gozo SPCA had to take them back in.
They are all house-trained, friendly, neutered and vaccinated.
Anyone interested in offering a loving home to one (or more) of these dogs please call Gozo SPCA on 9980 7067 or e-mail info@spca-gozo.org.
The re-homing centre also has many beautiful neutered vaccinated kittens needing good homes.

It's heartening to see your newspaper again highlighting the demise of cats and dogs on the islands, please keep it up. These three dogs are the lucky ones, they will almost certainly find good homes, but let's not forget the many abandoned animals looked after by the AAA . The AAA does not receive any grants or government money, it survives on the goodwill and generosity of caring people and the sheer hard work of it's dedicated staff. So please donate what you can and if you want a well cared for and neutered dog give them a call.

I sincerely hope that these dogs will receive great care, as befits every single animal. I also hope that whoever was in charge of the institution where the dogs 'served' was considerate in re-homing these dogs, hopefully with a hefty donation for their upkeep!!!!! After all, these dogs were somehow 'employed', no?
