We are pleased to learn that the Tigné Point tunnel, which has taken Midi over six years to construct much to the inconvenience of Tigné residents, was handed to the government over two months ago. We sincerely hope that we should not have to wait for another six years for scheduled buses to be allowed to pass through the tunnel and relieve the discomfort of residents who must walk either to the bus stop near the Preluna Hotel or to the one at the Ferries.

Residents in these areas are surprised that the local council has never raised this matter with Midi.

It will not be out of place to point out that the channel tunnel between the UK and France was completed in four years.
