Maltapost failings

From time to time letters appear in the press complaining about late delivery of letters or worse still, lost letters. I have suffered from both.

Another disservice to Maltapost clients is when collection time is not kept. Mail is supposed to be collected at 11 a.m. and at 7 p.m. as clearly indicated on post boxes. Why is it then that sometimes boxes are emptied well before the indicated time, even an hour before? This happens to me most of the time.

I have seen Maltapost employees collecting mail from post boxes and carrying the pile in their hands to their waiting van, which might not always be very near. If I am not mistaken, letters should be put immediately in a bag to avoid mishaps.

It would be beneficial to all concerned if Maltapost employees are reminded about their duties every now and again.
