The Convent of the Sacred Heart Junior School, St Julian's, this year organised various activities to promote healthy eating and living in an effort to reduce obesity in future generations and all the health-related illnesses that go with it.

The 'Healthy Lifestyle' theme began several months months ago with a successful '5-a-day' assembly by year 4 pupils.

A booklet with information, recipes and an activity pyramid was handed out to the children on the day.

Throughout the week leading up to the school's Field Day, the pupils were involved in packing nuts, preparing fruit salads and baking fruit muffins for all to enjoy on the big day.

In line with healthy living theme, all costumes and decorative banners were made using recycled food wrappings, containers and boxes.
