Man robbed of thousands of euros at Pitkali
A 72-year-old man was robbed of thousands of euros as he was about to enter the Pitkali vegetable market at Ta' Qali, yesterday at about 9 a.m., the police said.
He was stopped in his tracks by a man who snatched a basket containing the cash from his hands and sped off in a car.
The police said that it appeared that the robber was not armed and neither was he hooded.
Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna is holding an inquiry as police investigations continue.

How come Malta has become a free for all for bandits? Seems like crime in the last 5 years went up tremendously and most of it is taking other people's hard earned money. Stop putting these thieves on probation and put them in jail where they belong......
