A team from the Gibraltar Museum will be visiting Malta next week to share their expertise in prehistoric archaeology and the work that has been carried out in Gibraltar, the website Gibfocus said yesterday.

The team, composed of Prof. Clive Finlayson, Dr Darren Fa and Dr Geraldine Finlayson, will be in Malta next week at the invitation of the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage.

The site said part of the visit will be dedicated to seeing an archaeological excavation in progress in a cave in Gozo where the team will give advice on the work being carried out. The team will also discuss a possible long-term collaborative project in which the Gibraltar model, which has been successfully applied to understanding the Rock as a prehistoric landscape, may be applied to the Maltese Islands.
