In these days, when the price of oil is reaching unprecedented levels, and even if it was not, why are the street and tree lights on the St Julians/Sliema seafront left on well after dawn and even when the sun is up?
Some parish churches such as Mellieha are floodlit through the night. While beautiful in the evening, after midnight this is wasteful as hardly anyone is around to enjoy the sight.

Mr Zahra you are mentioning just one case. This is normal practice. Enemalta employees seems to have a problem setting the timers of street lights. Anyother scarce resource is water which is also effected by the fuel surcharge. I invite the Water Services Corporation to do something about the leakage problem that has existed for months in Reggie Miller Street Gzira (to be exact somewhere around Kira Mansions apartments ). It is disgraceful that do much water is going to waste. Action please.
