Action on rusted ladder

In reply to Ms Depasquale. Please be informed that the public transport matter is at hand and , very soon there will be additional services from key places in St Pauls Bay to Sliema and Valletta both early in the morning and a much later service at night.

The St Pauls Bay council is negotiating better and more frequent services for Qawra and Bugibba during the day.

It would obviously cost millions to improve the infrastructure, beaches , roads etc.
But wouldn`t cost much to remedy small things that so frustrate tourists (and locals alike).
For example, improving the bus service at peak times in tourist areas. Have you ever driven along the bus route in St Pauls Bay and Sliema between 10 and 11 am and Mellieha late afternoon ? Surely Malta could afford a couple of extra buses at that time.
Regular entertainment during Summer at Sliema and Bugibba also comes to mind. Malta Nights with typical Maltese food are always popular (and could also be profitable).
My pet hate at the moment are the rubbish bins in Sliema. They are grey and blend in well with the greenery. Near the Kiosk at Font Ghadir there is a bright red bin meant for dog dirt. However, it seems that no one has realised it`s purpose as it`s always overflowing with normal refuse. The bins near the Kiosks at Ghar-id-dud are also always full. Shouldn`t the Kiosks be held responsible in providing and maintaining bins in their area.

Amazing. Why did it have to get to the newspaper for anyone to act. The St Pauls bay local council has informed you of the matter quite some time ago. Well done anyway, Now lets have the new ladders installed.

Fair point Liam but the important thing to take from this is that the authority took immediate action to sort the problem out. Well done MTA I say.
