A few years back when I was still an undergraduate I needed to go travelling and I required a credit card. HSBC wouldn't give me one (even a limited one) because I had no steady form of income. So maybe back then they were not aware of the "challenges".
The other bank - Bank of Valletta - was aware though, and they did what they could to provide me with a credit card. A very inspirational travelling experience followed. What also followed was the transferring of my limited funds from HSBC to BOV and my ceasing of the former account. And since now there's no need for me to do so, I don't intend to having an HSBC account ever again.
Yes, A bank in need is a bank indeed - and my bank forever! Hooray for BOV.
