Gratitude to cat rescuers from the CPD

One day last month a call was made to the Civil Protection Department asking them to help rescue a desperate cat that was trapped between a wall and a container.

They arrived within half an hour and spent at least one hour trying to rescue the poor creature without inflicting any more pain on the animal.

The dedication of those two guys was amazing and they did everything in their power to save this creature. I know many a person who would have given up after the first half hour but these guys refused to give up.

Their last resort was to use an air bag to move the container, which was successful.

The animal slowly dropped to the floor and remained there unscathed.

The civil protection personnel still wanted to be sure she was not trapped underneath the container before they left. Thankfully the animal was OK and this was because two gentlemen took the time and care to ensure she was rescued.

I don't know their names but they are both a credit to the department and I thank them both for their outstanding dedication. Very well done.
