Oh, how I agree with the sentiments expressed by Stanley J. A. Clews. Like him we have been extremely disappointed by the lack of programmes currently being offered on the sports channels by Melita Cable plc. To add to Mr Clews's list of sports events...

Oh, how I agree with the sentiments expressed by Stanley J. A. Clews. Like him we have been extremely disappointed by the lack of programmes currently being offered on the sports channels by Melita Cable plc.

To add to Mr Clews's list of sports events that have not been transmitted this time around is the UK Golf Open, which had been transmitted previously for several years.

No doubt our disappointment will be crowned in September when the Ryder Cup will probably also be missing from their schedules.

Like Mr Clews, I have also voted with my wallet and have removed the sports channel until further notice. Come on Melita Cable, you now have competition on this island and you may soon find that your customer numbers will dwindle having taken their custom elsewhere.
