The industrial producer price index rose by 1.2 per cent in the euro area (EA15) and by 1.3 per cent in the EU27 in May compared to the previous month, according to statistics by Eurostat. In April, prices increased by 0.9 per cent and 1.1 per cent respectively.

In May this year, compared to May last year, industrial producer prices gained 7.1 per cent in the euro area and 8.9 per cent in the EU27.
