Enemalta investigates double failure of power cable

One lane of busy Regional Road between the University and Kappara roundabouts in the direction of St Julians has been closed while Enemalta investigates a high voltage cable that has been the cause of power cuts.

Enemalta said that a power failure last Friday at a result of a fault in this cable caused a two-hour blackout in parts of Sliema, Msida and Ta' Xbiex.

On Tuesday another fault occurred on the same high voltage cable approximately 60 metres from the original fault. This time power was lost at Msida Circus and parts of Ta' Xbiex.

As much as I detest Ememalta`s inneficiences certain situations they can`t control. So be fair when knocking them . Yes sometimes they deserve praise for getting a thankless job done.
I`m pretty certain they got repairs done as soon as was possible.
