After the winter season I would have expected that the beach ladders would be re-painted and all the necessary maintenance done before being re-installed for a new season. But the one in the picture shows rusted holes, where users can cut their feet.
This ladder is at Qawra near Qawra Palace hotel beneath the boathouses between the two slipways, next to the health water monitoring notice marked C29.
I informed St Paul's Bay local council about it a week ago and urged them to take action before the children's summer holidays. The place is very popular with children but nothing has happened yet.
I hope it does not take a whole summer with many people, locals and tourists, injuring their feet.
