Kyurugi competition at St Martin's

The Malta Taekwondo Federation (MTF) recently held a Kyurugi competition at St Martin's College, Swatar. All local taekwondo clubs had members competing in this event.

Competition came to a close with an exhibition bout between MTF national athlete Kimberly Meli and Jonathan Aristhene.

Stephen Formosa, the MTF president, thanked the federation's committee and judges for the smooth organisation of the competition. He commented favourably on the good level and fighting spirit shown by the athletes.

The winners

Pewee: Lynsey Fenech, Sharell Zammit and Joel Genuis.

Cadets: Bradley Desira and Jamie Maistre Melillo.

Juniors: Jessica Muscat.

Seniors: Jonathan Aristhene.
