Jesmond Mangion, 44 of Luqa and John Bugeja 41, of Sliema, were each fined €1,200 after admitting to illegally employing a Chinese national and a Pole respectively.

The cases were heard in court this morning before Magistrate Antonio Mizzi.

In another case, Curtiss Bakoush, 18, of Valletta was remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to causing under €1,164 in damages to a car, stealing a car stereo, handling stolen property, associating to commit a crime and relapsing. The case happened on Friday in Republic Street, Valletta.
