Girl, 9, injured as she gets caught between two vehicles

A nine-year-old girl was hospitalised yesterday when she was wedged between a car and a truck in Bwieraq Street, Birkirkara last night, the police said. Although she was not in a critical condition, the extent of the girl's injuries were not known last night, the police added.

The accident apparently occurred when the girl went to meet relatives who had arrived in a car and when she was behind the vehicle, a truck that was parked nearby started rolling, sandwiching the girl between the two vehicles.
