Sixteen held over drugs at Rabat party
Sixteen people were arrested on Saturday night after they were found in possession of drugs during a party at an entertainment outlet in Rabat, the police said.
The drugs found include ecstasy pills, cocaine and cannabis resin.
The people arrested were 10 men and six women whose ages range between 17 and 30. They hail from Floriana, Birkirkara, St Paul's Bay, Gżira, Birkirkara, Żejtun, Swieqi, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, St Julians, Għajnsielem, Mosta and Scotland.
A number of them are expected to be arraigned soon and accused with drug trafficking after they were found in possession of drugs whose amount indicated they were meant to be sold during the party, the police said.
