Man admits to stealing from three hotels

A 34-year-old man was given a two-year jail term suspended for four years for stealing from three hotels.

Paul Magro admitted to stealing cash from Maritim Hotel & Spa in Mellieħa and holding a man against his will on Thursday, stealing cash from the Qawra Palace Hotel in Qawra last October 5 and from the Pergola Club Hotel in Mellieħa between last November and last January.

Mr Magro was also put under the care of a supervision order for four years and ordered to start a drug rehabilitation programme.

Police Inspector Michael Mallia prosecuted.
