Cadillac has obtained most votes in the latest AutoPacific 2008 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards. And one of the Cadillac models General Motors exports to Europe, the CTS, topped the Aspirational Luxury Car segment.

Among the reason owners bought the CTS are because it is new, bold and from a respected brand. They praised its aggressive styling and 'fun to drive' dynamics.

GM brands, including Cadillac, topped the rankings in 11 of the 28 categories in the AutoPacific annual survey, based on input from owners of cars and trucks. The other GM brands to receive top votes were in the SUV and light truck categories. Toyota trailed in second with nine top picks, while Ford, VW, Honda and Hyundai picked up the rest.

Another Cadillac model, not imported to Europe, the DTS, was placed on top of the Large Luxury Car segment for the second year in a row. Cadillac knows its large sedan customers very well - many are second-, third- and fourth-time buyers.

The reputation of the Cadillac brand and of the DTS attracted customers to the car. Ride and braking, in particular, are strong points among owners.

Beating out the likes of Mercedes, Lexus and BMW is no small feat, especially since two of those three also had class winners in the survey.
