Corpse found off Żonqor Point
A badly decomposed corpse, possibly that of an illegal immigrant, was spotted metres off Żonqor Point yesterday afternoon.
The corpse was brought to shore by the Armed Forces and the police's Administrative Law Enforcement Unit. The grim discovery, reported to policeby an anonymous caller, indicates the tragedy of illegal immigration unfolding in the Mediterranean.
Police are investigating.
