A new website dedicated to the iGaming sector has been created to serve as a window into this rapidly growing industry in Malta.

"iGaming Profiler Malta will provide users with everything they need to know about the iGaming industry in Malta, including information on the jurisdiction, news, a directory of service providers and, importantly, scientific research into the many facets of this industry," said Velislava Hillman, managing director of SET Ltd, the company behind the initiative.

Mrs Hillman is no newcomer to the industry, having worked with one of the service providers and later also produced a hard copy business directory of the Maltese service providers in the iGaming sector, which was distributed abroad. She is also a graduate in market research.

"Given the international nature of the iGaming industry in Malta, moving on to the internet appeared not only logical but also necessary because of the nature of the medium. The iGaming Profiler Malta on the internet is an instant, direct, dynamic, mass-marketed and multi-sensor tool that can promote both our jurisdiction and the other members of the industry," she said.

The website (http://igamingprofilermalta.com) is aimed at professionals connected with iGaming, particularly gaming operators and those considering investment in relocation to Malta.

The site includes a wealth of information on the legal, financial and regulatory regimes which have made Malta such a popular iGaming jurisdiction. It also features information on the communications infrastructure, a database of operators broken down into categories and a similar database of service providers, such as IT, hosting and co-location, gaming software, recruitment and training service providers, among others.

The site, however, also aims to make things easy for people actually moving to Malta by giving information on local living conditions such as hotels and property, travel, real estate and other information relevant to doing business in Malta.

The scientific research papers, which SET consulting - the company's research branch - is working on currently to be available on subscription, will analyse emerging trends within the iGaming business and will identify potential opportunities in the various services sectors.

"I see iGaming Profiler Malta as a platform on which industry members can promote and market their services in a highly targeted way on one hand. On the other hand, I also see this website as a unique foundation of research resources that can contribute tremendously to the development and growth of this economic sector, and promote Malta's jurisdiction and infrastructure in a systematic way on a global scale," Mrs Hillman said.

iGaming Profiler Malta will in fact be promoted and represented in the major iGaming fairs, such as ICE in London and EiG expo in Barcelona.

Mrs Hillman said the website was the result of collaboration among many people. She was particularly grateful to the collaboration and support of Mario Galea, chief executive officer of the Malta Gaming Authority as well as various industry players.

Questioned about Set Ltd (www.set.com.mt) Mrs Hillman said the company had three main functions - media, consulting and charity.

The company has been involved in the production of a number of high-end magazines but iGaming Profiler Malta is its biggest project to date.

The consulting role provides experts in market research to carry out research into various areas, as well as the research needed (and currently in process) for iGaming Profiler Malta.

The charity section centres around corporate social responsibility and Mrs Hillman's belief, based on a saying by Winston Churchill: "Make a living by what we get, make a life by what we give".
