The 5,618 TEU vessel Hanjin Brussels, has made its first call at the Malta Freeport as part of the Mediterranean-Asia-America Pendulum (MAP) Service. Hanjin Shipping will also be incorporating Malta Freeport as part of their MEX service which will also be calling at the Freeport on a weekly basis. These two services will be connected to the new Malta Adriatic Feeder service due to call Malta next week. Through these services Hanjin will not only continue to expand its services to Adriatic Sea ports but will also be hoping to capture the rising trade in the Mediterranean area. The MAP Service is operated jointly with K Line, Yang Ming and Cosco. The MEX Service is operated jointly with UASC.
