The Malta Rugby Football Union has announced the list of finalists for this year's annual awards. The winners in the various categories will be announced during the presentation night which will be held at the Eden Lodge, Żurrieq, on July 18.

List of nominees:

Men's Awards

Best Player: Jamie Acheson (Alligators), Robert Bonavia (Kavallieri), Daniel Grima (Kavallieri).

Team of the Season: Alligators, Kavallieri, Overseas.

Best coach: Richard Beerman (Kavallieri), Philip Felice (Overseas), John Micallef Moreno (Qormi Sharks), Leon Wynne (Stompers).

Best Foreign Player: Jamie Acheson (Alligators), Guilaume Boulais (Stompers), Mark Hutchinson (Kavallieri).

Most Promising Player: Clayton Cassar (Overseas), Luke Debattista (Stompers), Max Galea (Stompers).

Best Veteran Player: Christoffel Diamantino (Stompers), Sean Duffy (Overseas), Leo Mifsud (Stompers).

Women's Awards

Best Player: Victoria Aquilina (Kavallieri), Charmaine Gauci (Sharks).

Team of the Season: Kavallieri, Panthers, Sharks.

Best coach: Emma Fenech Soler/Justin Barlogio (Panthers), Nadia Gosney (Kavallieri), Carmelo Longo (Sharks).

Most Promising Player: Alexia Baldacchino (Panthers), Stephanie Zahra (Sharks).

Other Awards

Best Youth Player: Matthew Camilleri (Stompers), Matthew Ward (Alligators).

Bojan Nikolic Most Promising Mini Talent: Andrew Perotti (Alligators), Fabian Sacco (Falcons), Marcus Ward (Alligators).

Best Match Official: Steven Busuttil (Malta Referees Society), Philip Gibbs (Malta Referees Society), Donald Hewer (Malta Referees Society).

Personality of the Year: Gail Debono (MRFU Council Member), Nick Gatt (MRFU Council Member), Damian Neill (MRFU Director of Rugby).

Retirement Award: Jason Cornthwaite (Stompers), Anthony Grech Sant (Kavallieri), Robin Parnis-England (Alligators).
