Comparison must be kept the way they are, i.e. comparing this years achievments and figures with last year and not as John Borg said. Is obvouisly more reasonable to compare ex.. (Tourism Industry) month of june with last years june instead of June with may of the same year. Tourism sector employs more ppl in summer than in winter so its usless to compare between months of the same yr
nice going who thinks like J Borg. blehhh

Something better be done and more jobs be created.
With at least 50-plus illegal immigrants, oops pardon me, irregular or whatever they call them, arriving every day, cynicism apart, these figures (low generation of employment and massive arrivals of low skilled Africans) do not bode well for our society.

The number of those registering for work declined only by 68 in May....from 6,086 in April to 6,018 in May. That is the truth. Figures should be compared with those of the previous month and not with the same month of a year ago if we really want to be honest! Gonzipn tibqax tqarraq aktar bil-poplu!

I wonder what will happen when the definite contract of several employees will cease.
