Archbishop Paul Cremona is to visit Maltese emigrants in Australia between July 5 and 30 in a visit coinciding with World Youth Day.

“I would like to meet the Maltese, wherever they are, and I want to be introduced to the Australian realities,” he told a press conference.

Mgr Cremona said he will be accompanied by 45 Maltese young people for the World Youth Day activities which will be held in Sydney. Pope Benedict will preside over those activities.

The Archbishop’s programme features meetings with the Maltese communities in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Mackay, among others.
