The Ninu Cremona Lyceum held its annual charity beach games event at Ramla Bay last Friday, raising €1,350. Schoolteachers and over 350 students took part in various tournaments, including volleyball, beach soccer and handball. A sandcastle competition was also held. The money went to three missionaries and past pupils: Fr Anton Grech, Fr Raymond Portelli and Fr Giovanni Cefai, who are working in Guatemala and Peru. Such activities not only promote sports and an active lifestyle but also help foster a sense of responsibility, care and safety in the students. Picture shows head of school Francis Abela presenting the money collected from the Beach Games for Charity event to Carmel Grech, Miriam Portelli and Anthony Cefai on behalf of their relatives, Fr Grech, Fr Portelli and Fr Cefai.
