Yahoo is considering a reorganisation to centralise its mail, search and homepage divisions into a global product organisation, the Wall Street Journal reported, quoting people familiar with the matter.

It said president Sue Decker is behind the move, in an attempt to improve coordination between product and global sales groups.

The move comes as Yahoo, which has ended talks for a tie-up with Microsoft in favour of a search deal with Google, tries to convince investors it will substantially improve its business.

It also comes as senior executives leave the company.
