The early trend of lop-sided matches in the Prelimary Round of the BOV Summer League is set to continue this weekend as the big guns face weaker opposition.

Sliema McDonald's, 24-1 winners over Marsaxlokk Freeport last weekend, should make it three wins out of three matches this evening when they take on Ta' Xbiex Mermaid's Paradise.

After an 11-3 loss to Sirens Centro Casalinga in their opening match, Ta' Xbiex played better against San Ġiljan Tropicana Juices but still lost 13-11.

Neptunes Vodafone, who beat Marsascala Ocean and Sky 14-5 last week, will fancy their chances of recording a high-scoring win over Marsaxlokk in this evening's second game.

Having seen off the challenge of Exiles Elle-et-Vire last weekend, Sirens should not encounter any problems to dismiss Marsascala in tomorrow's first game.

The weekend's final match is likely to be the most balanced of the four as San Ġiljan, on a high after their victory over Ta' Xbiex, lock horns with Exiles.
