As part of the activities to celebrate Uniform Day at Sir Adrian Dingli Girls' Junior Lyceum, which forms part of St Klare's College, a group of students, accompanied by members of the Uniform Committee of the School, recently visited the Police Academy.

The group was welcomed by Major Peter Cordina who gave an hour-long lecture to the attentive students. Students were not only informed about the courses held at the academy, but were alerted on cyber crimes, which students very often fall victims to.

The students who attended were selected on the basis of a monitoring exercise carried out by the Uniform Committee and Form teachers, who rewarded the best two classes.

These classes had the least points deducted until the end of the second term, in a point-system scheme devised to encourage students, through positive reinforcement, to come in full uniform. A merit certificate was given to all the classes in each form which had the least points deducted. The exercise is also being implemented during the third term.

Another activity concerning Uniform Day was an exhibition set up by the Language Departments, displaying uniforms worn in the countries of which a foreign language is taught at school. Students prepared charts using vocabulary in the foreign language they study.
