The MLP has set up a commission to draw up a code of ethics for its media.

The commission is headed by Carmen Sammut, a university lecturer specialising in the media, and a member of the Press Ethics Commission.

The members are Peppi Azzopardi, presenter of Xarabank, free lance journalist Charles Flores, Roger Mifsud, former senior deputy editor of The Times and Joe A Vella, former editor at the Union Press.

The commission was asked to present its recommendations within four months.
