AD welcomes White Paper
Alternattiva Demokratika has welcomed the announcement by Social Policy Minister John Dalli that a White Paper on rent law reform will be published by the end of the month.
AD chairman Arnold Cassola said that the fact that there are over 50,000 empty dwellings in the country has led to spiralling costs when buying homes, apart from the serious environmental and economic costs as a result of land speculation.
Affordable rented property on the market is the best way forward to combat the serious social problems that our population is facing in this area, he said.
