The UHM has warned the Health Division and Mater Dei Hospital that it will resort to industrial action unless vacancies are filled at the bio-medical engineering section of the hospital.

The union said the issue had been dragging for a year. It said service had deteriorated and the workers were under stress.

The UHM said it would opt for industrial action unless the situation is remedied by next Tuesday.
