Dear Andrew Bonnici, ever heard of sarcasm or tongue in cheek !?? For your information, I'm a hunter myself - and proud of it!! I respect the law and respect others..........but I have lost all respect for Birdlies and Co who try and put collective blame on us all.
I think you've missed the point of my comment, my friend!

Excuse me good people, but who said it was arson? If I read correctly an inquiry has been initiated. Why not let it run and reach its conclusion before jumping to conclusions? Have a good day.

Mr. Andrew Gatt,
Dont you think you're being too exaggerated? i must admit, if you're one of the Bird Life movement, you are rendering yourselves more ignorantthan ever...easy for you to blame the hunters! well let me tell you something, if there is someone in the world who cares about the environment are the hunters/bird catchers, etc..im still trying to understand what "Bird Life" are trying to communicate to us, because im seeing no good happening in malta with all this fuss.... im sure you have other better things to do, sur gatt!

a few months ago I remember we had a spate of arson attacks on cars. then it abated only to start again lately. clearly there is some sick person running around malta responsible for all these attacks who must be caught and given a sentence that he will remember for the rest of his miserable life.and re Mr. Andrew Gatt's comment about hunters being responsible, I don't see what he's driving at. nobody mentioned hunters....except Mr. Gatt!

It's the hunters! It's the hunters! It's always the hunters! Isn't it obvious??? What? No press releases by Birdlife yet? ;) ;) ;)

It is obvious that all these recent car fires are started deliberately - this many cannot be coincidence.
It is obvious that there needs to be CCTV cameras on the streets of Malta to monitor events (mainly at night) and catch the criminals. The 'wringing of hands' about the 'CCTV loss of privacy' will not change anything, because it is obvious that this crime is easy to get away with - no one has every been caught or prosecuted.
The recent Hamrun car vandalism case shows the attitude of these 'people' and of the Maltese justice system handing out a 'suspended sentence' for deliberate multiple acts of vandalism! There should be a rule for deliberate vandalism of 'make good the damage' or go to prison.
