German Shepherd returned to owners

The Siġġiewi family who lost its pet and appealed for its return on Sunday found out just how effective the media can be.

Barely a day passed before the family got its German Shepherd back after the finder saw the appeal in the paper and heard it on the radio. The individual had found the dog in Siġġiewi's main square on Sunday afternoon, telling people there that he would return it to its owner if he knew who it was.

True to his word, he did just that yesterday morning after contacting the family on a mobile number shown in a news item appealing for the return of the pet after it wandered away from their garage.
