A 63-year-old man from Rabat admitted to police that he stabbed a man found in a car with his daughter-in-law, a court was told today.

Anglu Zahra and his son Clint, 25, are charged with slightly injuring Clint's estranged wife and with the attempted murder of Mark Anthony Casha on May 31 in Paradise Bay. They are pleading not guilty.

Police Inspector Therese Sciberras told a court during the compilation of evidence that Anġlu Zahra admitted to the mobile squad police that he had stabbed Mr Casha.

She added that Patricia Zahra said that she had been beaten by her husband, adding that she was doing nothing with Mr Casha in the car at Paradise Bay.

The accused were remanded in custody.
