An annual festival focusing on the adoption of lifestyles that both enhance well-being and respect the environment will be held at Għajn Tuffieħa next weekend.
Gaiafest, the festival of holistic living, will take place at the Gaia Foundation's Elysium Visitor Centre between 6 and 11 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
For an entrance fee of €2, visitors will be invited to try out a number of disciplines ranging from martial arts to meditation and yoga and also attend practical workshops on various aspects of self-improvement.
A children's nature area will also be set up for their own mini-festival where they will be able to learn more about nature, crafts, sowing seeds, yoga and spirit combat.
A green market will have stalls selling organic and natural products and providing different types of relaxing massages. The NGO area will focus on environmental and fair trade themes.
A vegetarian healthy buffet as well as refreshments and freshly made smoothies will be on offer. There will also be demon-strations on cooking helthy and tasty food.
"If you are looking for a truly alternative evening out then consider savouring the sunset at Għajn Tuffieħa and the relaxing atmosphere of the summer outdoors set amidst the cool foliage of our indigenous trees," the organisers said.
