The management and staff at the Park Hotel recently donated €2,000 (Lm 858.60) to Dar tal-Providenza and Puttinu Cares for Children.

Charles Selvaggi, the hotel's general manager, presented €1,000 (Lm 429.30)to Anton Vella, administrator of Dar tal-Providenza.

During the presentation, Mr Selvaggi said that the money was collected in memory of one of their colleagues, Maria Lucia, who passed away suddenly at the age of 52.

The second €1,000 was presented to Puttinu Cares for Children at Mater Dei Hospital. Mr Selvaggi presented the cheque to Victor Calvagna, oncologist. The money will be going towards buying two apartments in the UK for children suffering from cancer.
