Two injured in roof collapse
A man was seriously injured yesterday after the roof of a building he was working in collapsed.
The 54-year-old man was working in a building in Bidni Street, Marsascala, at around 7 a.m. when the incident happened. A 29-year-old man, who was also with him, suffered slight injuries. Civil Protection Department personnel arrived on scene some minutes later to extract one of the men from the rubble.
They were both taken to hospital. The older man's condition is serious but not critical.
