Global Capital Health Insurance Agency Ltd, representatives of Bupa, and the St James Group have signed an agreement defining set prices for various medical and surgical procedures and hospital admissions for Bupa clients.
Bupa Malta manager Adriana Zarb Adami explained that this agreement comes as a result of Global Capital's policy to deliver affordable, value-added and cost-effective solutions for clients.
"Now, we look forward to concluding other similar agreements for the mutual benefit of Bupa clients and private medical entities" Ms Zarb Adami said.
Bupa recognises the St. James Group as a preferred provider for diagnostic and radiology investigations carried out on outpatient basis and endoscopy procedures.
Bupa is introducing to Malta a direct settlement facility for outpatient investigations and diagnostic procedures. This facility significantly reduces administrative burdens for Bupa clients by providing a control mechanism for payment of charges incurred at private medical facilities without the client having to worry about these transactions.
"We are pleased to be the first private medical insurance in Malta to introduce this facility. The recent agreement with the St James Group has simplified the introduction of this system," Mrs Zarb Adami said.
The agreement between Global Capital Health Insurance Agency Ltd and the St James Group covers all the facilities under the group: the St James (Capua) Sliema, St James Hospital Zabbar and St James Clinic in Mosta.
