Two men have been injured in a roof collapse in Sliema.

The incident happened at Triq il-Kurunell Savona shortly after 1.30 pm as a building was being demolished.

One of the workers was trapped under debris and rescuers of the Civil Protection Department were called on.

The workers were taken to hospital.
