The networking solutions company said 250 executives visited Cisco Expo 2008, recognising it as a meeting point for the Maltese ICT market.

Cisco Expo featured an exhibition and demo area, where Cisco and its partners demonstrated intelligent solutions and services.

The attendees had the opportunity to be informed about Cisco's innovative technologies, like unified communications, security, wireless networks, digital signage and foundation technologies, by attending presentations of distinguished keynote speakers, including Donald De Witte, director of information services at Cisco; Isabelle Bonello, representative of the Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications, and Franco DeGabriele, sales and marketing manager at SmartCity Malta.

"Cisco Expo is the ideal platform to discuss the trends of information and communications technology, which may transform the growing enterprises", said Cisco's Alexandros Bechrakis, sales and marketing manager for Greece, Cyprus and Malta.

"Cisco Expo 2008 has brought together the Malta's business and technology decision makers, to network, share ideas and best practices, and also highlight the role that information and communications technology may play in the economic growth of Malta."

Cisco Expo 2008 in Malta was supported by important ICT companies like Go, Melita Cable, Computime, Kinetix, Logicom, and Philip Toledo Ltd.
