Alex Borg and Simon Zammit have advanced from the group stages of the European Championship, currently being played in Poland.

Borg made sure of reaching the knock-out stage with victories over Daniel Kande (Denmark), Rafael Goreke (Poland), Dimitri Gravkin (Israel) and Denys Vaschul (Ukraine). Zammit lost his last match to Darren Morgan, of Wales, 4-1 but secured second place in Group H following wins over Netschke, Petersen and Strolis.

In the last 32 stage, Borg ousted Pole Marcus Netschke 4-3 and Zammit had a 4-2 victory over Anthony Brabin, of Cyprus. In the last 16, Borg plays B. O'Donoghue and Zammit faces Y. Van Velthoven.
