Speed cameras' blind spot
I understand that motorcycles are immune to speed cameras.
In the wrong hands these machines become a veritable death weapon.
Therefore is this not absolute madness?
Furthermore, how legal is it that if one drives a motorcar one is subjected to speed camera fines while not so for a motorcycle? Is this not discrimination?

Motorcycles don’t have number plates in front, but they do have them on the back. Speed cameras mounted properly, at the correct angle, will pick up motorcycle plates just as well as car number plates.
To be fair, Mr Galea did start by saying “I understand…” perhaps he just misunderstood.

Dear Mr. Galea,
You start off your letter by sharing the concern felt towards the well-being of motorcyclists. By the end of your letter is clear that the real argument here is that probably you were fined for over-speeding and your unfounded belief that motorcyclists are immune is eating you from the inside. If you stick to the speed limit whilst driving your car, you need not worry about others.
The biggest threat to motorcyclists is not your so-called 'immunity from speed cameras', but selfish and inconsiderate drivers and poorly-built roads.

Where did the writer get this piece of wondrous information from??? I cannot believe that this information was never double checked before pen was put to paper, or rather, fingers to keyboard!!
