For the last six years my post, including medical results, have frequently been delivered to the wrong address. I complained several times and also wrote letters to Maltapost, the very last one answered by Charmaine Camilleri Grech of customer care.

The cherry on the cake was when a parcel from Hong Kong, shipped on April 24, never arrived. I called Maltapost who told me that they had left a note in my letter box since no one was at home and that the parcel arrived on May 9. Obviously, there was never a note in my letter box and I am sure of this since I was checking the letter box by the hour.

Had the parcel not had a tracking number I would never have known that it arrived and it would have got lost or wrongly delivered (like the previous parcel which I ordered about five months ago and to date has not turned up).

Finally on May 20, I got my package and in these 11 days not a single attempt was made by Maltapost to contact me.

Another parcel was shipped on May 2 and it only arrived a few days ago - probably lost/misplaced as well.

It is unbelievable how a package finds its way to Malta from a far away land like Hong Kong and it manages to be misplaced or lost. Is this the kind of service we are so proud of?
