MGM Mondo del Vino has been chosen by the FIGC as wine supplier for the duration of the European Cup finals being held in Austria and Switzerland this month.

Barone Montalto is the leading brand of the Forlì-based company MGM Mondo del Vino, which produces and sells regional Italian wines on the international markets.

It is one of the 20 most important Italian wine export companies, producing 40 million bottles.

MGM Mondo del Vino has brought to Austria the wines of the Sicilian wine cellar Barone Montalto of Santa Ninfa, in the area of Trapani.

The two wines chosen are the Greccanico Chardonnay Montalto and the traditional red Nero d'Avola.

Marco Martini, managing director of Barone Montalto, said: "In the showcase of European football we wanted to make people taste products which better express our Mediterranean identity, and at the same time are modern and innovative."

Barone Montalto wines are exclusively imported and distributed in Malta by CG Trading Limited and may be found at selected bars, restaurants and coffee shops all over the islands.
